December update!

Well with x-mas here in Chile I have noticed a lot of differences! THERE IS NO SNOW!!!!!
And it has inspired me to have this blog entry be completely about differences between Chile and USA!
I will do the top 10! Enjoy

1. It is summer now in chile. i hope you are all enjoying the snow in maine! :D
2. The moon is tilted to the left 90 degrees here
3. The water goes down the toilet the other way! I KID YOU NOT!!!
4. It is normal to not have dinner, but you better be ready for a BIG lunch
5. I wear a uniform in school here :(
6. They use the metric system! I hate doing conversions!
7. Gas is crazy expensive here like a $1.25 a liter and there is about 5 dollars a gallon
8. Public transportation is AWESOME!!! You can go ANYWHERE and if you are lucky you get a show. Last week I was on the bus and two clowns came on and started like a stand up comedy routine about how Reaggton music is all about sex. My favorite line from their routine I'll translate into english for you they are talking about the song Mi cama huele a ti, which means my bed smells of you. "Mi cama huele a ti, gentlemen if your bed smells of your girl friend after she just left, she needs to shower more often!" Telling the story again it isnt that funny but it was funny in the moment!
9. Underage drinking here is a huge problem, but the police dont do anything about it. Stores sell to minors!
10. The biggest difference for me. Parties!
Yes we all know in Maine that parties start around 7pm and run until about midnight which is a late party. Here in Chile the parties START at like 11pm and do not finish until about 3 or 4am. one night I didnt get home until about 530am and we left the house to go to the party at 1030pm. That was one long night! Thank god I didnt have to wake up early for breakfast.

Well I could only think of about 10 tonight but I'll have more for January!
